Mystery Stories
Have a look at the setting above and imagine you are there. Write the introduction to a mystery story, using between 50 and 100 words. Think about describing the SENSES in your opening. What could you see, hear, smell? What did you touch and how did you feel?
When I touched the house it was as cold as ice and the smell of smoke drifted into my nostrils.

bones,there were turrets and there were pieces of flesh. It looked
very spooky but I wasn't scared at all,when I went in I looked around and there was a maze. I love mazes so I went in,I wanted to get to the middle and when I got there there was a teleportation
potion. I used it to get out and that was the end of it.
I wacked up and it was damp and very ciLy and the stones where craced the towers where honted. LLoyed jumped up and ''said come on guy's'' and Jay sumoned his mosteros dragon and made lodes of litning but lucely the caseL did'nt set on fire and snicely Kia teleported out a stone wall and noked 500 gient's of ''and SUDENLY AND SLOLY IT STARTED TO CRUMBEL''and the ninga sumed the elemental dragons and flu away and escaped from the honted casel for ever

DeleteWhen i arrived i felt like i didn't want to come in the first place.I wanted to run but couldn't,somehow my leg's were stuck to the floor.When i entered i was petrified,and could hear ghostly noises and the rattles of skeletons bones.The screams of a child sent shudders down my spine.I inspected the walls.They were wet,covered with slime and horrible blood.I opened a door saw blood flowing out from my friend!Alas i failed.I ran out the door,my eyes filled with tears."You failed,you failed."I kept muttering to myself and ran out the front door. I never want to go there ever again!
ReplyDeleteI was walking along the path and then I came to a very spooky house which looked liked it was haunted. The trees didn't have bright leaves, they were dark and dull. Suddenly lighting struck down on the tree. I felt scared but I still dare to go inside. When I opened the door a swarm of bats rushed out. The house had a stinky whiff and cobwebs. Inside the house I saw something creeping, something crawling. Suddenly a skeleton fell on me. Quick as a flash I ran down the path, through the trees, back home. Home sweet home.

Spooky Castle.
ReplyDeleteIt was thundering,lashes of rain it was a petrifying place.I was wet from the heavy rain.Spooky sounds made me shiver and have me goosebumps. When the lightning struck I shuddered in-flight.Walking into the castle it was dark,my hands touched something gooey, I screamed,then all of a sudden bats flew over my head,I ran and ran.
The walls were made out of extremely hard titanium there were skulls on the floor and i could hear the sound of peoples soul.There was so much lightning that scared all of the bats away.I was very daring and i tiptoed into creepy castle so i didnt wake up the giant leechs.When i was walking around the castle i saw a ghost and luckily in my backpack i had a portal gun i ran rapidly up to the first floorsome of the windows were broken and piece of glass was spreaded on the floor so with my portal gun i shot a blue portal and a orange portal through the broken window on to the floor so i went into the blue portal and came out of the orange portal so i was outsid i saw a hole and i reconised it i had dug a hole but i got lost so i just dug up and i came to this castle.So i went down the hole that was it i was at my home again.THE END
ReplyDeleteThe cold dark walls were as cold as a block of ice and when i went in, there was so much to see. Rain and thunder growled and when i went in there was bones of animals and birds.I could smell flesh and blood and there was a door and when i looked through the door i saw something huge across the rickety bridge. As i walked carefully on the bridge, pieces began to fall behind me so i ran as fast as my legs could carry me. There it was. My diamond armor....
ReplyDeleteIt was a dark and stormy night. I was walking up towards a spooky haunted house with a creep courtyard. I could smell flesh and it was scary. I could hear thunder and lightning. It was very loud. It made me jump. The gate opened scarily. I walked through the gate as I shivered. I could see frightening shadows in the darkness. I could feel something grabbing my ankles... I saw bat's,juggling skeletons and many more horrors. I heard witches cackling, ghost murmuring and many other petrifying sound.
ReplyDeleteI turned back and my car vanished into thin air. so, I had to go inside. I just couldn't bear to stay there as it was as cold as Antarctica. No matter what I do I can never get out.
I have problems every were.

I saw hovering bats, juggling skeletons and many more horrors. I heard witches cackling, ghosts murmuring and many other petrifying sounds.

When I'm walking I see this creepy castle.One day I went inside. I saw allot of spider webs,big windows and scary black walls.On the walls the wore allot olden people pictures. I gone upstairs... the voice said "GO AWAY!!!!!". I was scared. I run away,run away,and then I woke up screaming.Good that it was just a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteIt was a dark and storm night.I was walking down the woods.I saw a creepy looking house.There were grave yards and I thought Zombies were going to come out of there.I was really scared.I heard ghosts and smell dead bodies and it was weird.I ran back to my house and never went back there again.
ReplyDeleteIt was a thundery night. Trees without leaves they looked really spooky. The old castle stood on a rocky hill. I felt cold. I went inside and I felt ugly smell. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling and bats flew out through the door. It was very dark, cold and scary. I used a candle to light up my way,then I saw cracked , wooden stairs. I went up to the second floor and I saw a locked door. I touched the door handle and felt slime. It was disgusting but I was very interested whats was behind the door.

ReplyDeleteIt was a dark and stormy night.Tom had followed a map to an abandoned castle.Tom touched the walls and they were freezing cold.Tom opened the door and it made a creaking sound.Tom was petrified.He heard a low growl.He walked backwards and bumped into a skeleton and screamed.He ran to a ladder and climbed it.He could still smell blood.When he climbed up the ladder he looked on his left and found out that he was not alone because there was a girl in a white dress sitting on the roof witch meant he was safe for now...

ReplyDeleteI could see the lightning flashing in the darkness, graveyard that might scare you to death, I can hear the screams and cries of ghosts, I can smell smoke and burnt trees, I can feel the rocks on the walls and rocks on my feet, I feel scared, petrified, terrified and nervous. Suddenly a massive ghost appeared but I could only see the face of it. My friends [Anish, Cezar, Eesha, Thomas] were all scared too.

ReplyDeleteIt was stormy, dark and cold night i was in a forest alone i saw a gate it was terrifying it was covered with spider webs. I looked up and i saw a big scary castle it was on a hill and had four big towers. I was so cold and hungry i decided that I have to enter the castle. I opened the old, creaky gate and went in. The way to the castle was terrible. Was very dark and i heard in the distant howling of wolves. Finally I arrived to the castle and its enormous door. I took a deep breath and trembling hand I knock the door.

ReplyDeleteThe walls where as cold as the arktic the lightening made a grave crumbel down I went inside a dark,sceary and a huge maze with a thouusnd openings when I got to the middle I saw zombies and I heard horrible laughing.I ran to the gate but a ghost closed it I dug a hole i hid coverd it up and I didn't breath I was safe for now

At that night, when the noise of the blue thunder was very loud, I opened the gate of that freaky scary house to go inside.
ReplyDeleteI was terrified and scary, my heart beat where very fast and I couldn’t catch my breath. The creepy house was made of muddy, mouldy, smelly clay. I opened the door and what I saw inside the house was weird. I saw pictures of freaky monsters and zombies over every single wall inside that house. Besides that, the smell was very bad, it was like ruind meat mainly back to dead animals inside the house.
I saw ghosts flying all around the house and in the garden there was skulls for dead people probably.
That night was horrible and I was terrified and I will never go back to that haunted house.

ReplyDeleteIt was a stormy night. The sky was cold as ice, lightning flashed like crazy and the clouds were dark grey. The paths felt like stone. I felt really scared. I heard screeching sound of a bat over my head. I turned around and the then the bat flew away along with gusting wind. I walked to the enormous mysterious castle with trembling legs. I could hear weird noises coming from the castle. I reached for the door. When I opened it with pounding heart, I saw a skeleton falling on me. I woke up shouting. "Thank Goodness, it was a nightmare". THE END.
In the white dream jar you could find:

I really enjoyed reading these, despite the fact that they are rather scary!
