Next term we will be learning all
about the Romans. You may choose one of the following projects to complete over
half term.
1) Research, design
and make a Roman shield. Write instructions to explain how to make it.
2) Research,
design and make a Roman villa. Write instructions to explain how to make it.
3) Research the
Romans and create a poster to show your findings. Think about things like homes,
daily life, jobs, clothes/fashions and entertainment.
How to make a Roman shield
ReplyDelete1. Get cardboard, gold wrapping paper, PVA glue and a red strip of big paper.
2. First, get a rectangular piece of cardboard and stick the red paper on it with PVA glue.
3. Next, use the gold wrapping paper and cut out a border to stick on to the surface.
4. Then, cut out small gold wings out of the gold wrapping paper.
5. After that, cut out small arrows from gold wrapping paper and stick both the wings and the arrows to the surface.
6. Afterwards, get a gold cup cake wrapper to stick on the middle.
7. Finally, get two strips of cardboard about 30 cm long to stick to the back of your brand new roman shield as your handles!
