  1. 23.03.18 – Two Diary Entries

My memorable travels of two years ago, during springtime I travelled to France.

We stayed in Montparnasse, a neighbourhood in Paris, France and were surrounded by theatres, restaurants, markets, and could see tall buildings. There was continuous chattering and music till late at night. I felt so very tired as we went to discover the area. Well, I was still happy.

On our stay, we went to see the Eiffel tower. An amazing structure and never in my life have I seen so many people from everywhere. I kept eating gelato ice-creams each day as it was so hot! I also tried to climb up it but sadly I couldn’t even go one metre high.

One day, we decided to walk everywhere, and use the Metro, the French underground trains. Within a short walk from our hotel, was a late closing metro station and it allowed us to connect to many areas.

This day, we visited The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile and it is hard to pronounce! This is one of the most famous monuments in Paris, standing at the western end of the Champs-Élysées at the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle. This was also named Place de l'Étoile, the étoile or "star" of the juncture formed by its twelve avenues, also like a giant roundabout with 12 paths. We walked one huge pathway and it was never ending! It was beautiful and either side had gardens, rest areas, refreshment stops and some play areas. I loved every moment and felt so much energy as I walked.

Seine River, river of France, 2nd longest flows through Paris before emptying into the English Channel. We went on a boat trip and were allowed to hop on and hop off at many stops. On a map, it showed as a twisting circular journey. Our panoramic boat stopped at 9 different locations close to main districts and monuments. We decided to adventure Notre-Dame, discover Jardin des Plantes a huge garden area and to finish at Louvre, a pyramid museum. It was a long day and really enjoyable for me as we ended by night before returning back to Montparnasse on metro.

We also visited Euro Disney during our stay which is always a winner!

That same year, 2016, during summer, we spent time in Dubai. To start, we stayed within Dubai city centre. We visited large shopping centres, called “mall” there and one had an aquarium with sharks, manta rays and lots of tropical sea life. Another, Mall of the Emirates, had an indoor ski slope. All, really fun and I loved it! The best part for me was to see the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa standing 828m tall and just outside the Dubai Mall, with the aquarium.

On our journey, we also visited the Jumeirah beach where we stayed and enjoyed a boat journey along Dubai Creek. I could see through the bright blue sea and hear mini waves crash. As we walked on the beach and through the bustling city, I felt very hot. I looked forward to cooling down in the many shopping malls! The food was great too.

Next, we travelled North. I made a lot of friends there and we lived in a resort with six pools. The resort also had five restaurants and we had use of our own private beach too! The resort is called DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa on Marjan Island, located North of Dubai City, an area known as Ras Al Khaimah. We travelled there by taxi, it took us a one hour and thirty minutes through the desert. I experienced many sand dunes and a lot of campsites on our journey. To travel within the resort, you can either walk for ages or go on a golf buggy. I can’t wait to go back and wish we could go back soon.

I really enjoyed travelling with my family and would happily do it again…

    Dear diary,

I went to Holland Park with my mum.Outside, it was very sunny and windy. In the afternoon,we met two of my mum's friends and their daughters.Later,we sat down to have a picnic in the wonderful weather.Afterwards,we decided to look around the park. After a while,we were standing in front of a beautiful waterfall and saw some golden fishes swimming under the water.Nearby, the flowers were really pretty and they had lots of bright colours.Down by the cliffs, was a glamorous peacock.

    Dear diary,

Occasionally,me and my parents go to the cinema. This time,we went to Odeon/Richmond.Before the cinema,I did some shopping with my mum.Eventually,my dad joined us and we got into the cinema.Over there,we bought some popcorn and went into the dark room. The movie was called "The world's greatest showman".It was about a man who opens a brand new circus.Although,he hires some people with unusual looks. They are different from the others and unfortunately, not everyone accepts them the way they are.Surprisingly, they are all very talented. Finally,we all thoroughly enjoyed the movie and had a great day out.

I hope you enjoyed reading my diaries-:) <3

  6. Dear Diary,

In the morning I played football and I was a Goalkeeper. Then, I was baking cupcakes with my mum. Sometimes I help my mum. It is wonderful. When we finished eating them I went football club. Amazingly I scored 5 goals. After that, we came back home and I was so happy because, my aunty came. When my aunty comes we always have a mini party.

    Dear Diary,

The next day was a fantastic day because: myself, my uncle, my brother, Oliver and Simon (my 2 friends)are going for a boys party. First, we went to Chiquoto's for shake and pizza. I like the geotgeous rainbow one the most. Next, we went swimming. My uncle was learning me how to swim. After that, we went to play games like Pac-Man. Finally, we went to Cinema World to watch Black Panther. Unfortunately, we went sadly back home.

  7. Thursday 5th April
On Thursday morning I woke up at 6.55. I quickly got washed and dressed. After that I went downstairs to have an excellent bowl of Weetabix because I was starving hungry. Immediately afterwards I brushed my teeth, put on my shoes and coat and went to Hounslow train station with Eva & Grandma. As soon as we got there we thought that the train had gone but actually it was late. When we arrived at Feltham my sister knew the way to the cinema so that we could watch Duck, Duck Goose. I thought that the film was boring because the characters weren’t that great at being funny. After the film we went to McDonalds and I had delicious chicken nuggets, fries and a fruit shoot. I felt full up after my lunch and we walked back to the train station to catch the train home. I felt exhausted when I got home. Back at the house we watched TV for the rest of the afternoon. Suddenly Mummy’s voice came from the kitchen saying dinner was ready. Later, we played Ludo and I won! Before long it was bedtime and I read my book and went to sleep feeling sleepy.

    Saturday 14th April
On Saturday, Mummy, Eva and I went to West Brompton cemetery. We played a game where we had to choose a name and find a grave stone with that name. It was brilliant! It was so peaceful you could only hear the birds. It was nice weather, lovely and hot and sunny, and I had to take my coat and jumper off but I was still sweating! After a while, I felt thirsty so we slowly made our way to Starbucks for a nice cold drink of water. Later, we got on a bus to Knightsbridge and went to Harrods. There was so much to see, everywhere I looked it was magnificent. Back at home, I was very tired after my day and all the walking I had done. In the blink of an eye, it was bedtime and I fell asleep as quick as a flash.

In the morning, me and my family woke up early in our Dubai hotel because we were going to Legoland. I was extremely excited because it was a waterpark. Also, I could hear the children in the pool shouting downstairs. After that, we went to the lower ground floor to have a delicious breakfast. When we finished, we went upstairs and packed our swimsuits and left the room. Outside the hotel, I saw a white Ferrari and then we went to the main road to wait for the bus. The ride was about 30 minutes long and the bus was air conditioned, so it was quite cold. When we got there, it was cloudy but still warm. A few minutes later, I could see the clouds were moving out and I could see the sun. After we entered, the park was empty which was quite lucky. But after a while the queues were getting long. My favourite ride was the ‘racers slide’ where you get your blue and green mat a go down on either a red, yellow and blue slide. When, I went on the blue slide it was pitch black.

Today, we are going back to England from Dubai. In the morning, we woke up early because we had to check out at 10:00 am. Without a sound, I crept to the balcony to peep out at the pool and realised there was only the staff cleaning the pool. Soon, we all got ready for breakfast. After breakfast, we went back to our room and packed all the things we got from England and Dubai. Before long, we got a taxi from a taxi queue to go to the airport. The ride to the airport was approximately half an hour. Sadly, I realised our fantastic holiday had come to an end. At the airport, there was a huge crowd outside and we got two luggage trolley. Inside, there was a queue for checking in. Unexpectedly, we all got a tag for our bag saying ‘First’ so I thought we got first class seats, but that was only a mistake. At the duty free, we went in a souvenir shop and bought a magnet with a thermometer. Soon after we got in the plane, I started watching the new movie ‘Justice League’. The flight was about 6 hours and the thing I did not like was that the game controller on my seat wasn’t working. Eventually we landed and after clearing the border security we collected our luggage. Again, we called a taxi to go back to our home.

This morning me, Mum, Dad and my sister Grace travelled to Brighton. Grace and I had never been to Brighton before and I was excited. First we caught the bus to Whitton where we went into the train station. Before long a train came which took us to Clapham. Luckily we only waited there a short while until a train came to take us to Brighton. On the train I happily did some drawing, so it felt like no time at all until we reached Brighton. As soon as we could we dropped our bags at our hotel. Afterwards we went into Preston Park, which is a lovely big park opposite our hotel. Unexpectedly in front of the park café was a little pond that had stepping stones so that you could walk through it. All of a sudden we heard rustling in the reeds where we saw some toads nervously hiding. Just then I noticed newts in the pond and showed my family. They were Great Crested Newts which we had never seen before. After a while we came across a playground too, where I climbed a climbing frame and went on the swings until I saw there was a zip wire and constantly rode that until we had to go. I love the zip wire.

In the morning we got up had our breakfast and had a look around The Lanes, which is a part of Brighton that has lots of shops. Fortunately for me, there was a toy shop and I excitedly went in. I happily bought myself a TY handbag in the shape of a cute monkey and found out that she is called Coconut! A little while later we went into the Royal Pavilion. This was originally owned by George IV, we discovered that he had owned a cat also called George who was their head mouse catcher. Later we saw priceless silver and gold ornaments, there were dragons, serpents and many mythical creatures decorating the pavilion and it's furniture. They seemed to be everywhere we looked. I was amazed.

  10. On Thursday I went to Jungle V.I.P to play. I went there with my friend and sister. It was a soft play centre. We went on the wiggly slide and a thing that you can spin on. We also went in the ball area where you can throw balls. Then it was snack time and we had chips and juice. There was also a place to play different games on the floor It was a big whiteboard. I like the football game the most.

The next day, me and my friend and sister went to the cinema. We watched the movie called Peter Rabbit. We sat at the back of the room. The movie was funny and nice. This movie is my favourite. We had popcorn and juice. Lots of people came to see the movie.

  11. Date: 3rd of April

I woke up at 8:00 am in the morning. It was my mum’s birthday today. I wore my socks and rushed downstairs to give my mum the card and the poem that I had written for her. This was my poem:

I wish you a very happy birthday,
and the best one you’ve had,
don’t be sad, be very glad,
let all your wishes come true,
    everything’s for you,
3rd of April is a special day for you.

She was delighted when she saw it. After that, I ate my cereal. Soon my mum and dad went to office. After they left, me and my brother watched TV for some time.

Later, my younger brother Avyaan jumped around the house crazily while I did my work. Suddenly, we heard a noise DING DONG DING! It was my mom at the door. I flung my arms around her and said happy birthday once again. After a little while my dad came. We cut the cake. Then, we went to a restaurant to celebrate her birthday. It was the best day ever.

    Date: 06.4.18

First, I woke up at 8:00 am. Next, I wore my socks. After that, my dad told me if I did my work we might be able to go to the natural history museum. That’s what I did. I did my work. Then me, my dad, my brother and my grandparents went in the car. My mum could not come because there was not enough room. Then we went into the train and waited. Finally, we reached. We dashed in. Soon, we were at a model of a Tyrannosauraus Rex. It was wagging its tail like a snake trying to get out of a trap. Then we went to the human biology section. It was all about the eye. It had a lot of fun tests for the eye. Like a teacup which looked like a full teacup but it was actually half. There were also tests to see how good you can see colours.

Afterwards, we went to have some food in the restaurant there. Later, my dad suggested we should go to Hyde Park. It was only a 20 min walk. We laid down in the breeze. Now, it was getting very cold. I was getting very cold. I said “We should be getting home”. We waited for the train. When the train came we went on it. When we went home I was exhausted. What a nice day!

    Dear Diary,

Today, I had a sleep over at my friend Pia's place in Wembley. I was happy to see her after a long time as she moved to London from India recently. As soon as we reached we greeted each other with a big hug and then started to play legos. Soon after, she taught me to make puppets as she is very good in crafts. Then it was dinner time. Had delicious food and completed our feast with an ice cream. Later, we slept telling stories to each other.
